I have a basic understanding of IT and found the RAM really easy to install, it took about 5 min in total.

It significantly increased the general speed of my imac. The improvement was particularly noticeable when using processor heavy programs like Apeture (mac equivalent to photoshop).

This was less hassle than I expected, down load a little application from this web site and it's checks how much and what type of memory is installed. Ordering was a cinch and installation even easier. Wish I'd done it sooner. Once running mutli-media packages you soon notice the improvements in performance. Highly recommended

Not much to say, really. The old memory came out and the new went in and replaced it easily; a straightforward operation, but one that has doubled my RAM at a stroke. I should have specified the maximum RAM when I bought the iMac from new, but the price has fallen so much in the last year or so that now it is definitely a no-brainer.The Crucial system scanner is very reassuring to use and to know for certain that the correct spec RAM has been ordered!
