I expected it to be complicated, memory for an oldish machine etc. But from first to last, on the Crucial site[...], installing, it was made straight forward. Has given my G4 laptop a new lease of life, saved me a lot of money not having to buy a new one, and can use more demanding new generation of key software.

Powerbook G4 manual says the maximum RAM you can install in this machine is 640MB, but we installed this 1GB module with no problem, giving 1.128GB in total. It works just fine. Maybe there were no suitable 1GB modules available when Apple produced this machine? Anyway, no problems so far!
