after installing RC1 of Windows 7 my Dell mini was feeling the heat on the olde RAM front, so I thought it needed a 2 G boost, so purchased it from Crucial [...] and installed good now My Dell Mini is windows 7 and 2 Gig, cant ask for more out of it.

Extra RAM is almost always going to help performance. The downside, which is in no way the fault of Crucial or the memory module is that Hibernation now requires twice as much HD space, as in WinXP, does the page file. This would have used over half my 8GB SDD under windows, but fortunately, my Linux installation hibernates into SWAP so only requires 2GB total under Ubuntu 9.04.

The ram upgrade has worked well and despite the laptop vendor stating only 1gig would work with the product this has proved that not to be the case. Primarily there is a noticeable increase i n performance. All netbooks sould have 2 gig

Not so easy to install, but that seems to be the fault of my computer (strange setup of clips and grooves that hold the memory) rather than of this product.
