Increasing the RAM has made a noticeable difference to allowing multiple applications. FireFox uses a lot of RAM if it is not shut down periodically; I no longer have to do this. A really cost-effective upgrade and excellent dispatch.

Came - in the crucial box. Installed - fine. (You have to insert 1 stick at a time - then each time boot; otherwise you get a memory error from the Inspiron - but thats just a Dell prob)

I had purchased at crucial as it was cheap, [...]and was from micron(Lexar) who is a reliable manufacturer. Having been used Lexar high speed cards for my cameras i trusted Crucial. I was surprised when RAM arrived the very next day of ordering.... [...]As i have previous experience in computer hardware, installation was a breeze... till now i do not have any problems regarding the RAM.... Overall a great product..

Our Dell was so slow to start-up, we would switich it on then make a cup of tea whilst we waited; its 1Gb of RAM was completely maxed out. For a small outlay we've doubled the RAM and transformed it, and just a two minute job to fit. Much, much better.
