I added this to my 1 GB iMac, thereby doubling its capacity. It is so much faster now, from using the internet to running multiple applications. It was easy to instal, although it was a bit of a mission rummaging around in the toolbox for the right screwdriver to undo the access cover on the underside of my iMac. The instructions included were very clear, except that I had to make an executive decision to peel off the sticky label covering one side of the chip before inserting it.

Before installation of this upgrade, my iMac require a regular
reboot because it became sluggish.
After installation the sluggishness has gone.
