Inspiron 1501 running XP and Mcaffee security 0.5gig ram very slow (15 mins to boot up and get on internet)
upgraded to 2 gig and now like new pc, boots up in 2 mins.
Best decision I made for along time, saves me buying a new laptop..Fab !
Easy to install, just switched back on and auto recognised increased ram.

Even an average bloke like me could follow the simple guide and install this product. Performance, particularly at start up and shutdown is noticeably quicker. I did not even know my laptop had one of these before I visited this site - I used the instant checker and followed the advice - brought and paid for it one day - it arrived the next morning - followed the fitting instructions (easy) and now my slow old laptop is like a young pup again - now I want simlar for my husband. I couldn't believe how easy it was to install.
Just remove the back cover, flip two clips and the original just pops up ready to be removed.
Slip the new module into place and away you go. Absolutely no problems with the installation, and the increase in performance was very noticeable.

My Dell laptop was taking an age to boot up and power down, it kept crashing and was slow when using internet, I replaced the 500mb RAM with two 1GB boards as prescribed by Crucial and now the machine is up and running in under a minute and Internet is like lightning, this was a no nonsense solution to an annoying problem. I Highly Recommend Crucial to everyone.
