I needed more memory in my 2008 iMac 24", which only officially supports 4gb, I replaced one of the 1gb preinstalled modules with this 4gb module and can confirm this works perfectly with a total of 5gb.

Works perfectly with 64bit OS Windows and especially with VMWare workstation which is whi i mainly needed 8GB.
