Don't be put off re installing memory YOURSELF and saving the costs involved in someone else installing it for you ! I now have 3Gb of ram and that increases my paging which increases my computers performance to a VERY acceptable level.
As a writer I find the necessity to operate a writers database and opening various windows at once occurs which has an effect on memory and paging. Adding my web publishing program to that and its why I've been particular when it comes to what memory I use ! Crucial is as good as it gets and the price ? again VERY acceptable. Saving on the installing another bonus definitely a case of save save save !

Really improved system performance. Went from 1GB on my Compaq 6735s laptop to 4GB and now it swaps between applications like lightning. However, would recommend only going up to 3GB if you're a 32bit Windows user because the OS can't utilise all 4GB (typically most see somewhere around 3 depending on the computer).
