I do a bit of home recording on the computer and this involves having to run multiple programmes and you don't want your computer to crash when you're recording! The most RAM hungry application that use is probably photoshop and the 1 GIG card that I had in my iMac really caused my computer to choke at large multilayered files. The extra 2 gigs really make a difference . Opening, saving scanning at high resolution is much, much quicker. Also I saw great improvement when painting and drawing at high resolution with a wacom tablet. I really think I should have invested that little money a lot earlier. It really comes cheap.

I installed the RAM which was easy, but there really seems to be little difference in performance. Ho hum. Maybe it's just me?
