Recommend this to anyone, don't believe Apple about 2GB limit on older MacBook Pro. Crucial info is all spot on, I now have 3GB and the computer is performing noticeably better.

I upgraded my memory because I'm a photographer and I use aperture 2 and adobe photoshop and I need a fast reliable comp to manipulate and store my photos. Transfers and uploads are all in a days work.

What can I say? It came on time; was reasonably priced; installed easily; and apparently works. I was a little dubious about whether it would work. I bought my Mac Book Pro a week before they increased the limit from 3 Gb. This meant that I either stuck with 2Gb or used mismatched RAM (i.e a 2Gb plus one of the existing 1Gb). Apple advise against this as it can impede performance but Crucial said it would work. I followed Crucial's advice. If there's a performance hit I haven't noticed it and I am now able to do the stuff I couldn't with 2Gb. Too early to know whether it will prove to be reliable but after three weeks or so I am very pleased.

Slotted into my macBook Pro and just worked. Everything is just that bit slicker with 3Gb rather than 2.
