25 percent cheaper than 4 years ago, increasing RAM from 1.5 gb to 3.5 gb for less than fifty quid is a no brainer.

The main reason for increasing the RAM is so I can use Photoshop CS4 whilst running OS 10.5 on my old G5 Mac. I'll get another couple of years out of my Mac until I have to purchase an Intel Mac.
The great thing about increasing RAM is it's so easy to install, a relatively cheap way to improve performance and prolongs the life of my Mac.
The only downside is that the prices fluctuate globally, so you wonder when is the best time to buy.

I ordered three pairs of RAM and an anti-static wristband.
The wristband seemed to do the trick, and I had no problems installing the RAM.
I now have 8GB of RAM in my Mac, 6GB of which I got from Crucial. It now runs noticeably faster on start-up. iPhoto works much better, which was a nice surprise, and save times in illustrator and Photoshop are much improved.
I wish I had maxed out my RAM when I first got my computer, as it would have saved me a lot of time.

High sample rate multitrack audio was slowing my G5 leaving the OS spinning... The new memory 8GB up from 4GB for [$] is a great way to avoid buying a new computer
