I upgraded my Acer Travelmate 2400 which initially had 256MB of memory. It was so slow it was barely worth turning on, the hard drive would thrash all the time and I was considering throwing it away. I took a gamble on upgrading the memory to 2GB for [$], and quite frankly the performance difference is outstanding. It now boots up in no time and multitasking is a breeze. I would not hesitate in recommending this upgrade to another user; it has easily given me another few years of use out of an otherwise redundant machine.

My laptop performance was getting slower and slower after each windows/or other software update and I was on the point of spending up to £500 on a new one, but decided to try increasing the RAM for a 3rd time and it was a real success. Performance back to or better than when the computer was new and at a very reasonable price. Once again, a very fast and efficient service from Crucial!

This was an upgrade to my laptop as it was getting a little sluggish but after the new ram was installed speed was increased and respone time too
