Comments about Crucial 2GB kit (1GBx2) Upgrade for a Dell OptiPlex GX280 (Desktop and Mini-tower Models) System:
I acquired a Dell Optiplex GX280 with 1Gb memory that had been used as a client workstation in a company network. I needed to use it as a stand-alone desktop system loaded with a full range of office, personal finance, graphics and on-line applications, and decided to upgrade to the maximum 4Gb memory. This was supplied by Crucial as 2 x 2Gb upgrade kits, which were installed with no trouble, were in operation within a few minutes and have performed perfectly since then.

the scanner didnt work on my system first few times i tried, then somet went wrong with my system, i was locked out of all maintenance pages of windows xp, and user pages, it was like i was given only half computer administrator allowances so had to totally reinstall windows xp to rectify the problems. Maybe my security programs conflicted with youre computer scanner and im not sure if youre website advised of this beforehand. It could have been something else that messed up my system, im jus saying it could have been my security programs conflicting with youre scanner.
when being later successful in using youre computer scanner i had turned off my security programs beforehand and the ram sticks i received were compatible so i was overall happy with youre product.
