I was looking for reliability as the last ram I bought from a different manufacture kept breaking down intermittently so was hard to establish where the problem was on my pc. When I came across Crucial's web site with there, system scanning tool, it told me what ram I needed for my pc. When delivered it took a couple of minutes to install and works perfectly.

I use a basic Compaq desktop which came only with 1gb of ram and would frequently freeze when running just a few applications. I decided to double the ram with crucial to a matched pair of 2gb(the best price I could find on the web at the time. Since the upgrade my computer is running far faster and more reliably. Well worth the £30 or so spent which now means I can delay buying yet another base unit.

The little program that I downloaded from the internet suggesting the right RAM for my computer was easy to follow and gave me the confidence to order and install the RAM myself. I've always taken my computer to a shop to 'fix' things, but this time I installed the RAM in about 10 minutes. It was a very satisfying experience. The extra RAM has speeded up my computer and has stopped it from freezing when I use more than 1 program at a time.

I Will use Crucial again, there web site is easy to follow my order went without a hitch, i was not sure which ram i was using whether it was DD2,DD3.

Crucial made it easy to find out you can download there software and it will scan you computer for you
and they let you know which ram is compatible with your system. I received my order within four days so go on give them a try you will be pleased you did.

Basically, I didn't buy this to use permenatly, it was mearly to get my messed up pc working again, (long story short, I naffed up the BIOS and as my current RAM was super high spec overclocked yardy yarda...the settings were incompatible with it, so I needed standard ones, these, to get to the BIOS setup, and it worked) so i can't realy say anything good or bad of this product for long term use, but I can say, it works and it's simple to install and use

Was installing extra 2Gb to give me a total of 4Gb but hadn't realised that on a 32bit OS, only 3.25Gb of RAM is available. My fault entirely, but even so, the extra 0.25Gb still gives an additional performance gain over 3Gb. The Crucial helpine was very good at explaining this and were quite willing for me to return 1Gb if I didn't want it.

Already had 2 x 1GB of Crucial memory in my computer. I've had zero issues with the 2GB I had before and zero with the extra 2GB I have in now. Windows XP (32-bit) can only use 3.5GB of that of course, but I upgraded for Windows 7 which will use the full 4GB.

Great couple of sticks; initially worried when trying to install they wouldn't fit, very, very tight fit but after so working at it managed to get them to slot in perfectly!

Obviously as I'm running XP it only uses 3.5Gig to the max, but still very pleased!
