My old laptop can no longer cope with the demands of MS and I have fled to Linux. Although 256 MB is just enough I felt that doubling-up was desirable. The mechanical installation went smoothly, the machine recognized the bank immediately and performance is entirely satisfactory

Comments about Crucial 256MB, 144-pin SODIMM, SDRAM, PC133,:

My old laptop is beautifully small and light, but rather short of RAM (256 MB) for anything more than word processing. This memory module doubled the RAM at wonderfully low cost, and has given a new lease of life to my Windows XP laptop. It should now last me till I can buy a new machine with something better than Vista.
