Used the memory advisor and this told me that I had 1 GB of RAM in one slot and one slot free. It advised that I buy 2GB of RAM and put this in the slot that the 1 GB currently was in. The product selection came up along with anti static wristband and magnetic screwdriver. Ordered them and they arrived in days.

The RAM came with no instructions so we had to read these off the internet before switching off.

The RAM didn't fit into the main slot but fitted into the second slot no problem. I do not really know why that is - but it all worked like a dream in the end.

    Comments about Crucial Wrist Strap:

Easy to use - put round your wrist so that it's snug, clip the croc clip to something earthed, eg computer case (best left plugged in but switched off if a desktop) and you're good to go. Doesn't really get in the way. Quality is good.

Croc clip may scratch aluminium so be careful where you attach it!

Well worth the extra over the single use equivalent.

I have no idea how necessary this product is, but am informed by others that it is. It was only [$], so why take the risk? And if the re-usable one's the same price as the disposable one - why add to landfill when you can use a product again? I don't see the benefit of a disposable strap.
