Every module that leaves our doors has been extensively tested at the component level for voltage and temperature resistances, signal integrity, and software compatibility. The result? Reliable memory that meets or exceeds Apple's own memory requirements. With the latest lead and halogen-free technology and built-in thermal sensors1 to help control your system's cooling, Crucial Memory for Mac features advanced innovations.

        Cons

          Best Uses

Upgraded my new iMac with an additional 16GB of memory making a significant cost saving over Apple's price. Not only that it comes with a lifetime warranty.

I upgraded my Mac Pro six years ago with Crucial memory. Unfortunately, 2 months ago one of the memory modules failed. To my delight Crucial replaced the module within 3 days. Obviously I would have rather the memory hadn't failed, but it happens and Crucial's response delighted and astounded me.

Not sure if it increased the speed of my computer as I upgraded a brand new 27in iMac with 32gb before booting up. I can say my computer is phenomenally fast.

I do a lot of of video work using FCP X and 8GB of memory was just not enough. The upgrade to 32GB was easily installed and has greatly improved my workflow.

This is the third machine to which I have added Crucial memory over a 7 year period, and I have not experienced any problems.
