Crucial Ballistix DDR3 6GB
Infomatica Easy 5 Stars Award
"Ballistix is addressed to performance enthusiast users, who wants to push over the maximum the performance of an high-end PC. Promises that are true also for this kit, which belongs to the Ballistix series, that allows a huge overclocking potential without worrying about loss or corruptions, errors due to instability and system BSOD. This kit allows high speed, low latency and aluminium heatsink that is both able to cool down memory chips and is good looking. Gold pins allows better electrical connection between modules and socket and avoid parasitic resistances. Briefly speaking, a nice memory kit that sits down in the room of "high performance RAM", that really enjoys deep overclocks and allow a great balance between performance and price."

Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR2-800 2GB Kit
Top Design, OC Hammer, Editor's Choice awards
Pc-special.net, December 2008

"Not for the first time, Crucial has managed to produce a first-rate Ballistix Tracer kit. As usual the workmanship of the modules is faultless … The LEDs in particular are a real visual highlight. When it comes to overclocking, these Tracers are trailblazers, even at the standard 500Mhz we found the timings to be easily raised for optimal performance. In addition, you'll find the timings reduce to CL 4-3-4-10 at 400Mhz. So there you have it, Crucial has done it again and as a result been awarded the OC Hammer, Top Design and Editor's Choice award."

"These Crucial Ballistix PC3-14400 RAM modules definitely live up to our expectations in terms of great performance and high speed. They also perform really well in terms of overclocking, allowing us to reach 1800MHz. This is actually the top speed of our review motherboard, so these Crucial modules could likely go even higher."

Effizienz Award, Effizienzgurus.de, October 2008
"Crucial part number BL2KIT25664AA804 is thoroughly pleasing. As a result we'll keep our analysis short: For the professional, who looks for real quality as opposed to simple benchmark points; or the case modder who likes the black PCB; or the user who wants to use RAM on EPP-enabled nVidia mainboards. For all these potential buyers we can recommend this KIT without hesitation. BL2KIT25664AA804 was top of the class for standard and overclocking use, and at a moderate price."

Gold Award, hardware-experten.de, September 2008

"When tested, the Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400 DDR2 800Mhz 4GB Kit (BL2KIT25664AR80A) was in a league of its own versus various other PC2-6400 RAM modules. Although the module was fast before overclocking, there was lots of overclocking potential thanks to the integrated Micron chips which come as part of the modules. During the testing, the Ballistix modules markedly outperformed the competition in all areas…Users with see-though chassis' will be particularly impressed with this eye-candy. We award the BL2KIT25664AR80A our gold award!"

"So you want more RAM? RAM which has excellent overclocking potential in addition to a polished flashy look? Then you can't go wrong with these modules. Crucial has managed to manufacture modules which meet all these requirements, and then some! As a result, gamers, overclockers and case modders who require the most RAM will find these modules compelling. The overclocking performance at 140Mhz was surprisingly high and we didn't even need to fiddle with the voltages either."
